KONARK SUN TEMPLE
(otherwise called Black Pagoda) – It is a sanctuary of the Sun God-Surya in Kalinga compositional style, situated at Konark, in Odisha. It was worked by the lord Narasimhadeva I in Mid-thirteenth century AD.
Konark sanctuary has been inherent the state of an immense chariot, embellished with 12 sets of cut wheels made of stone, dividers and columns pulled by seven stallions. It is considered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site yet sadly, a noteworthy segment of this sanctuary is presently ruins. The sanctuary was worked close to the stream Chandrabhaga. The sanctuary stays open for guests from dawn to nightfall.
